The Hardware for the prototype of the intelligent Container was constructed by the two members of the MCB:
 

• Embedded Agent Platform and RFID Interface (IMSAS)
• Wireless Sensor Nodes (ITEM)

Additional important features for the 'intelligent Container' were developed by partner institutes from the SFB637:
 

• Multimode Communication (ComNets)
• Transport Coordination (TZI)
• Indoor location and demonstration (BIBA)

Further contributions were made by the following institutes:
 

• Further studies on Long-Range RFID and Door Readers are carried out by the LogDynamicsLab at the University Bremen
• Quality models were provided by the Wageningen University, Horticultural Production Chains (HPC)
